Longtime NHL Announcer Diagnosed with Cancer Dave Strader, one of the most respected broadcasters in the NHL's history, has been diagnosed with cancer. The 61-year old made the announcement last Monday, one year after being hired by the Dallas Stars. Strader, who has 36 years of broadcasting experience and is widely considered one of the best announcers in the NHL, said he is "ready to meet the challenge." |
